This is the 1st unit in a series of units covering 3 communities that make Canada unique.
This packet includes everything you need in order to teach an in-depth study about Meteghan, Nova Scotia. The unit is was designed to be an inquiry-based unit. All website links, worksheets, unit test, assessments, projects, and activities are all included. I have made everything you will need, and have done countless hours of research.
In this unit, the students will go on a 'trip' to Meteghan and will go to the Bay of Fundy, whale watching, clam dig, go lobster fishing, learn an Acadian folk dance, try rappie pie, make some ferry boat pictures, just to name a few.
All Grade 2 Social learner outcomes are covered in this unit, as one component of looking at Canada's Dynamic Communities.
