While this unit has been adapted for French Immersion students, it can be used in Francophone classrooms as well.

This is the 3rd unit in a series of units covering 3 communities that make Canada unique.
This packet includes everything you need in order to teach an in-depth study about Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The unit is was designed to be an inquiry based unit. All website links, worksheets, unit test, project and activities are all included. I have made everything you will need, and have done countless hours of research.
In this unit, the students will go on a 'trip' to Saskatoon. The students will make pysanky eggs, learn about Christmas and Easter traditions, make prairie art, and design a pic collage, to name a few.
All Grade 2 Social learner outcomes are covered in this unit, as one component of looking at Canada's Dynamic Communities.

- Website links 50+ (many are in English, so you may need to translate them - it's hard to find french websites)
- Higher-level questions including inquiry work - guided and independent.
