This digital art activity draws inspiration from the beloved author and illustrator Eric Carle, known for his vibrant and captivating collage illustrations in books such as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?".
 
This activity is designed for young students from kindergarten to grade 3, fostering creativity, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for art through digital tools. The older the children, the more mature art is produced.
 
Overview: Students will create their own digital collages using shapes, textures, and colors, mimicking Eric Carle's unique artistic style. This activity aims to introduce basic digital art techniques while encouraging self-expression and storytelling.
 
Students will need access to an ipad and the app 'PicCollage'. You can also use Kindle Fire, Android, or computers that run Windows 10.
