This is the 2nd unit in a series of units covering 3 communities that make Canada unique.
 
This packet includes everything you need in order to teach an in-depth study about Iqaluit, Nunavut. The unit is was designed to be an inquiry-based unit. All website links, worksheets, unit test, project and activities are all included. I have made everything you will need, and have done countless hours of research.
 
In this unit, the students will go on a 'trip' to Iqaluit, and for example will play Inuit games, try throat-singing, make Ted Harrison Art, make an Inuksuk, build an igloo and make an Inuit presentation, just to name a few.
 
All Grade 2 Social learner outcomes are covered in this unit, as one component of looking at Canada's Dynamic Communities.
