Weekly Inferencing DIGITAL Writing Prompts

Inferencing is a very difficult comprehension skill especially for younger students. Inferential thinking is a complex skill that will develop over time and with experience. It is a higher-order thinking skill, one that is needed in the 21st century!
This digital resource will allow students to practice inferencing on a weekly basis. The use of real photographs will allow students an opportunity to ‘read between the lines’ without having challenging text to read. This can be a fun way to get your students to practice making inferences before applying it to reading.
Included in this resource is a link to a Google Slide resource that contains 40 weekly picture prompts. All directions are included for its use. Also included is a blank template so you can use your own picture prompts.
