Words Their Way™ for Alphabetic Spellers Weekly Home Sorts
 

These weekly home sorts were made with parents and students in mind. I often wanted to send home the weekly word sort with my students but didn’t think they needed to have the full sheet and cut the words apart again at home. If you like, these weekly sorts can be cut up at home, or simply used as a reference for parents so they know how to help their child when practicing the sorts at home.
 
All 50 sorts are included, along with a ‘helpful hint’ for parents/guardians. It gives specific areas they can help their child at home with the sort. A selection of 14 words from each sort, along with a few extra words are highlighted.
 
Words are not exactly the same as in the Words Their Way™ program. Other words have been chosen to help students scaffold their learning with each sort. This program supplements the Words Their Way™ program, it does not replace it.
 
Although these home sorts were intended to be photocopied and sent home, you most certainly can share each sort as an image (screenshot) and send home digitally.
