This resource is what you are looking for. It covers the red book - ‘Alphabetic Spellers’ and all the word sorts which is perfect for distance learning, literacy centers, daily 5 and more.
As more and more classrooms have access to iPads and Chromebooks, doing distance learning or going 1:1 - paper becomes less attractive. I really like the Words their Way™ program, however the one aspect I don’t particularly like is the amount of paper that it consumes. I wanted an alternative to paper without compromising the program.
➡️This digital version of the word sorts is the result. Instructions for teachers are included in a 15 page PDF file for the 120+ activities. This includes all the links for all 60 sorts you will need.
This resource complements the 3rd Edition of the Words Their Way™ Alphabetic Spellers teacher manual.
The easiest way to assign the sorts to your groups is within Google Classroom. This makes organization so much easier. You can assign a section of sorts, or just assign the weekly sort. All the students need to do in the activities is to click in the box and type their response or drag a picture and/or word into place.
This also works without Google Classroom. Simply assign via email or do as a group on the interactive whiteboard. The resource works with Google Slides.

Can be used as part of your Literacy centers, use alongside your Words their Way™ program, use in small groups, or homework, or as extra practice. You can add this resource right into your weekly schedule of activities. Even if you don’t use Words their Way™, you can certainly use this resource for your word work activities in your classroom.
Each sort comprises 1-2 pages of reinforcement activities. As well, most sections come with a 1-2 page assessment piece. There are over 120 google slides of activities for the sorts and over 100 pages in Seesaw,
