This no-prep resource fits nicely with and supplements the Words their Way™ program, but can also be used without it. This package covers the blue book - ‘Derivational Relations’ from the WTW program.
**For use with 2nd edition**
These resources include all 60 sorts for the ‘Derivational Relation Spellers’ (blue book) from the Words their Way™ program, but can also be used without it. This resource uses different words that will scaffold what the students learn through the Words Their Way™ program.
Includes Home Sorts, Practice Worksheets, and Digital Sorts/Activities.
Worksheet portion: Although this resource was made for a worksheet practice type of activity, you most certainly can use it digitally. Just use Kami™ and students can add text boxes. Alternatively, you can make text boxes for them to type in their answers.
Home Sorts: take a screenshot of the home sort you want your students to practice and send home via email, Google Classroom™, or any other LMS, such as Seesaw or Canvas.
Digital Activities: Use Google Classroom™ to assign, or send the Google Slides™ via email or any other LMS.
Ideas for classroom use:
It can be to use as part of your Literacy centers, use alongside your Words their Way™ program, use in small groups, or homework, or as extra practice. You can add this resource right into your weekly schedule of activities. Even if you don’t use Words their Way™, you can certainly use this resource for your word work activities in your classroom.
